bones are easy to make and delicious to eat! Not really a
cookie but more of a sweet treat, these are a big hit at
children's parties.

3 large egg, separate the whites
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/8 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

with parchment paper, a hand mixer, pastry bag and medium
sized round tip.
First, preheat oven to 200 degrees F. and line cookie sheets
with parchment paper; set aside.
In a medium bowl, separate
the egg whites from the yokes, throw away the yokes. Beat
with your electric mixer set on high speed, adding cream of
tartar and salt. Beat until fluffy.
Slowly
beat in sugar, adding a little at a time. Add vanilla
extract and beat in.
Place mixture in pastry bag
with a medium plain tip. Pipe 3-inch bones onto parchment
paper. Make a straight line, then on each end pipe two dots,
side by side. this gives it the look of a finger bone.
Bake for 1 hour. Turn oven
off, let cookies set in oven for 1 hour.
Makes about 50 bones.
