CARAMEL APPLE DIPPERS

A quick and easy snack, it's a sweet treat to remind you of autumn all year long! All you need are a few apples, sliced and seeded, a double boiler and some caramels.

In a double boiler, place the peeled caramels and cook over a low to medium heat until they melt. Stir occasionally.

Place sliced, seeded apples on a plate and serve with forks. You can move the double boiler to a table, be sure and place a hot pad under it! Let cool slightly. Dip apple slices into hot caramel. Be careful! Caramel may be very hot so test before you bite!

If the caramel starts to set up, give it a stir, the heat from the water in the double boiler will keep the caramel from hardening up for a while. You can also use a microwavable bowl and do this in the microwave although the caramel will set up again quickly and you'll have to keep zapping it to melt it every few minutes.
